APPLICATION for the Open Textbook Pilot Program

The application form for this program will be accessible only to UNM employees and it is open during the summer and early fall of each year.

Before you submit your documents, consider meeting with the OER Librarian for a consultation or attend an informational session.

Community of Practice

The OER Community of Practice is a supportive element of the Open Textbook Pilot Program  This Community of Practice is designed to support community and capability building related to open textbook publishing at UNM. Faculty will receive hands-on  support for creating textbooks, searching OER repositories and sites, and considering elements of accessibility and Universal Design, so they can apply these skills as they develop materials in their disciplines.

What are the deliverables?

  • Participants will implement OER curriculum into a course they teach, whether they adopt, adapt, or create those materials.
  • Faculty will license the materials they create with a CC license.
  • Faculty will be supported and encouraged to share the open materials they create in the UNM Digital Repository’s OER Collection.
