Photographers Jane Bernard and Polly Brown collected 64 interviews of residents, business owners, and tourists along the Mother Road from Illinois to California during the years 2000-2002. There exists 24 cassette tapes containing the interviews. The New Mexico 66 oral histories have been digitized, with ongoing work to digitize the rest of the cassettes for research access.
