Route 66 Photographic Survey Collection
The Center for Regional Studies funded Donatella Davanzo, a Ph.D. Candidate in American Studies, as the CSWR Fellow for its Route 66 Photographic Survey from 2013 to 2016. Davanzo photographed every existing structure on the pre- and post 1937 routes in Albuquerque. Her project route and stats are ♦Route 66 East to West - Tramway to Route 66 Casino: 18 miles - 731 buildings - 7,266 images ♦Route 66 North to South - Fourth Street to Isleta Blvd.: 8 miles - 636 buildings - 4,013 images. CSWR holds the images in the archive, arranged by address and by topic. Davanzo selected approximately 2000 images for New Mexico Digital, as the UNM CSWR Albuquerque Route 66 Photographic Survey Collection.
