Interlibrary loan is free service to the UNM community whereby UNM Libraries works with other libraries around the world to borrow materials from other libraries. So if you find an article that you need and we don't have it, we can try to obtain it from another library.
While you are abroad, we can send you digital copies -- PDFs of articles of book chapters (we can't send you print items or entire books - but we can scan articles and portions of books).
Note that 80% of article requests are available within 2 working days!
Visit our Interlibrary Loan website to login and request items.
UNM Library's Research Guides are webpages created by UNM librarians with tips and links to resources to help you do library research related to specific subjects, disciplines, areas of the world, or courses.
The library has many online tutorial videos that can give you tips on doing research and using library tools.
You may ask the library to buy an e-book (or streaming video, etc. -- anything that you could access from abroad) by using this online purchase request form or by sending an email to cooperliz@unm.edu. We will investigate and let you know if we can acquire it.
You can use any of the Library's online help services while you are abroad.
