Access all the UNM Library's online resources 24/7 from anywhere in the world -- all you need is your UNM netid and password!!!

  • Visit the UNM Library home page and use the search box there to find ebooks, articles, streaming videos, streaming audio and more.
    • After searching, you can limit your results to online resources (eBooks, eVideos, eMusic) by clicking on the limit boxes for these items in the left navigation.
    • To limit your search to online Articles, choose the limit in the left navigation for "Article" and then scroll through the search results for entries labeled with an orange "e" and the text "View now."
  • From the home page you can also access the library's databases, another set of tools that can help you to identify online articles (scholarly articles, newspaper articles, and others) on a variety of subjects.
  • When you are off-campus or abroad, after you click to open a resource, you will be prompted to enter your UNM netid and password and then the resource will open for you.

If you need help using any of these tools, please see the "Get Help" box on the right OR visit some of our online video tutorials

Request Interlibrary Loan articles while studying abroad!

Interlibrary loan is free service to the UNM community whereby UNM Libraries works with other libraries around the world to borrow materials from other libraries. So if you find an article that you need and we don't have it, we can try to obtain it from another library.

While you are abroad, we can send you digital copies -- PDFs of articles of book chapters (we can't send you print items or entire books - but we can scan articles and portions of books).

Note that 80% of article requests are available within 2 working days!

Visit our Interlibrary Loan website to login and request items.

Online Research Guides

UNM Library's Research Guides are webpages created by UNM librarians with tips and links to resources to help you do library research related to specific subjects, disciplines, areas of the world, or courses.

Online Tutorials

The library has many online tutorial videos that can give you tips on doing research and using library tools.

Suggest a purchase of online material

You may ask the library to buy an e-book (or streaming video, etc. -- anything that you could access from abroad) by using this online purchase request form or by sending an email to cooperliz@unm.edu.  We will investigate and let you know if we can acquire it.
