Native American Languages

AICLS works "To foster the restoration and revival of indigenous California languages so that they may be retained as a permanent part of the living cultures
of native California. A Native Run and led non-profit organization.

The Alaska Native Language Center was established by state legislation in 1972 as a center for research and documentation of the twenty Native languages of Alaska.

The American Indian Language Development Institute's (AILDI) mission is to provide critical training to strengthen efforts to revitalize and promote the use of Indigenous languages across generations. Based at the University of Arizona.

CILLDI (pronounced ‘sill-dee’) has provided practical training to students, training which has been directly implemented back in the community. It is a tri-Faculty initiative at the University of Alberta, involving the Faculties of Arts, Education, and Native Studies.

The languages included in this project are provided by the Catalogue of Endangered Languages (ELCat), produced by the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa and The Institute for Language Information and Technology (The LINGUIST List) at Eastern Michigan University.

ILI provides the tools and training to help Native language teachers and learners help themselves in their efforts to bring language back into everyday lives of the People. Located in Santa Fe, NM.

The Northwest Indian Language Institute provides Native language teachers and community members with training in language teaching, materials and curriculum development, benchmarks creation, and linguistics.
