The CENTER FOR SOUTHWEST RESEARCH (CSWR) is the special collections / archives part of the University Library. It holds original documents, photos, posters, maps, architecture plans, oral histories, music recordings, UNM history, New Mexico related books, rare books, videos, microfilms and more.

This guide offers a few starters for studing the history of African Americans in New Mexico.
