Amy Winter joined University Libraries in December 2015. She manages multiple projects for the Digital Initiatives and Scholarly Communication program, including the mass digitization of more than 12,000 historical theses and dissertations produced at UNM. Amy oversees UNM's Digital Repository, the Searchable Ornithological Research Archive, and the digital humanities project And Yet She Persisted: Women at UNM and Across New Mexico (goto.unm.edu/womens-history). She assists patrons with New Mexico's Digital Collections and digital humanities projects using Omeka. She has many years of experience in records/data management and web development.
Amy earned an MPA from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, and a BA in Spanish from Bryn Mawr College. Her research interests include women's and feminist history, and she enjoys reading, knitting and doodling in her spare time.
