Data Browser Overview

The Data Browser is an interactive tool that allows you to learn more about the data collected as part of the All of Us Research Program. It provides interactive views of aggregate-level participant data in the All of Us dataset. Below is a YouTube tutorial on the usage of the Data Browser followed by examples of aggregate-level data that public tier users have access to and step-by-step instructions on how to replicate them:

Access to Health Care

Researchers can investigate issues related to access and utilization of health care across 57 related variables in the All of Us dataset. As of February, 2025, over 305K participants have completed the corresponding All of Us survey.

Q: What can the data tell  us about the demographic composition of participants relative to concerns about being able to afford care?

The data browser provides a high level overview of this information that can help researchers investigating access to care determine of the All of Us data are appropriate to their work.

Please keep in the mind that the public data browser only provide aggregate data! Accessing detailed, individual level observations from the complete All of Us dataset requires registering with the researcher workbench.
