To support student learning the University Libraries provide assistance in developing a Reserve Collection to provide students access to materials needed for their courses.These services include both hard copy items, such as books and DVD's and electronic materials such as articles and e-books.
An instructor may request a library-owned item to be placed on hard copy reserve at any branch. By notifying the University Libraries that an item is needed for a course it can be shelved the service desk area and made available for a shorter check out time.

Instructors can notify reserve specialists about requested reserves through two methods:
Ideally, instructors will submit the forms with the accompanying item.
Since the University Libraries are unable to purchase every book possible needed for a course, we encourage instructors to being in their personal or department copies. This is especially true for textbooks.
The University Libraries is also able to assist in making electronic content available to students.
Please submit all completed Scanning / Persistent URL Request Forms to Zimmerman Library Service Desk. Requests may take up to 2-4 days to process.
