Welcome to the University Libraries Research Guide on Government Information. The UL is the Regional Depository Library for Federal government information. As such, government information, regardless of form or format and which is disseminated or distributed by the U.S. Government Printing Office (USGPO) is available for your research purposes. Much of tangible collection does circulate. Rare and valuable government documents may be used through a paging system.
From 1976 to the present materials received by the USGPO can be found via LIBROS. University Libraries retains a copy of every piece of government information received including information distributed in a digital format.
Don't hesitate to ask for further assistance at the Combined Service Point in Zimmerman Library or through the UL's "Ask a Librarian" service.
Much of the Federal Government Information collection circulates. Those affiliated with UNM have defined circulation and loan periods.
The general public may purchase a "community borrower's" card for $35/year which provides community members the opportunity to borrow books housed in the UL system including government information materials.
Community members are encouraged to visit Zimmerman Library and use the collection onsite. Research assistance is available at the Combined Service Point. Computer use and access is defined by the "Public Use Computer Policy" for UNM and general community members.
