Grassroots Activism in New Mexico and the Southwest

The UNM Libraries' Center for Southwest Research (CSWR) is committed to preserving the records of grassroots activists and activist organizations in the Southwest. These records are of use to students, scholars, and community members seeking to better understand the work of these activists and organizations. But the records also contain extensive documentation for those studying the issues of Southwestern communities, including education, health, economics, land, water, and environmental pollution. Many of these collections also document the extensive networking between local, regional, national, and international groups. The CSWR and the University Libraries also contain a wealth of materials documenting grassroots activism in the Southwest and beyond, with both scholarly and community publications.
